This rifle was milled from a piece of forged steel which original weighed over 40 ounces
Visible in the upper part of the breech bolt is the long extractor and the locking bolts on dash side
Loading parts of the model ‘86 were in three pieces to admit the long cartridges which were chambered in these rifles
